Simple empire line dress in silk

For an autumnal wedding in Wales in the family’s garden, Alison wanted a simple style of dress in which she could feel comfortable throughout the day

I created a sloping empire line dress in silk crepe, the neckline was scooped and piped to give a clean simple finish. The back had covered buttons and loops to create a stylish back detail.

The skirt was fitted to the lower hips and then flared out elegantly and gently with a short puddling train. The sleeves were full length, so suitable for the changeable weather with pointed cuffs and buttons.
